Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare samples and reagents for experiments and analyses with precision and adherence to established protocols.
  • Conduct routine laboratory tests and experiments under the guidance of senior scientists, ensuring accuracy and reproducibility.
  • Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment, troubleshoot minor issues, and report significant malfunctions.
  • Meticulously record, organize, and analyze experimental data, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Assist in the development and optimization of new laboratory procedures and research methodologies.
  • Ensure strict adherence to all health, safety, and environmental regulations and maintain a clean and organized laboratory workspace.
  • Manage laboratory inventory, including ordering supplies, tracking usage, and ensuring proper storage.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members, participate in scientific discussions, and present findings as required.
  • Perform general laboratory upkeep, including sterilization of glassware and disposal of chemical waste according to guidelines.

Required Skills

  • Associate's Degree or Diploma in a scientific field (e.g., Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Medical Technology)
  • Familiarity with basic laboratory techniques (e.g., pipetting, preparing solutions, sterile technique)
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in performing tasks and recording data
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications (Microsoft Office Suite)
  • Ability to follow instructions precisely and work independently as well as part of a team
  • Commitment to laboratory safety and quality control standards

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous laboratory experience (academic or professional internship) is a plus
  • Knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP)
  • Basic understanding of statistical analysis methods
