Key Responsibilities
- Prepare samples, reagents, and solutions for various experiments following established protocols and safety guidelines.
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment, including spectrophotometers, pH meters, centrifuges, and microscopes.
- Perform routine laboratory tests and analyses with precision and accuracy, recording observations and data diligently.
- Document experimental procedures, results, and findings accurately in lab notebooks and electronic systems.
- Assist senior researchers and scientists with complex experiments, data interpretation, and report generation.
- Manage laboratory inventory, including ordering supplies, receiving materials, and organizing chemical and biological stocks.
- Ensure strict adherence to all laboratory safety regulations, hazardous waste disposal protocols, and quality control standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and functional laboratory workspace.
- Participate in team meetings, contributing to discussions and sharing insights gained from experimental work.
- Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and report significant malfunctions to appropriate personnel.
Required Skills
- Associate's Degree or Diploma in Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, or a related scientific field.
- Fundamental understanding of general laboratory techniques and safety procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions precisely.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering a collaborative team environment.
