Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the collection, labeling, and processing of biological samples (blood, urine, etc.) according to established protocols.
- Prepare samples and reagents for analysis, ensuring accurate measurements and proper documentation.
- Perform routine laboratory tests under the direct supervision of certified medical technologists.
- Maintain and clean laboratory equipment, glassware, and work areas to ensure a sterile and safe environment.
- Document test results accurately and meticulously in laboratory records and information systems.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations, quality control procedures, and infection prevention guidelines.
- Manage laboratory supplies, including inventory tracking and restocking as needed.
- Assist with data entry and administrative tasks related to laboratory operations.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development activities to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
- Collaborate effectively with medical technologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure efficient patient care.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or equivalent (vocational training in a science-related field preferred).
- Basic understanding of laboratory safety procedures and aseptic techniques.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
