Job Description

Seyani Brothers & Co. Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled and meticulous Land Surveyor with a strong focus on site mapping to join our dynamic team in Isiolo County, Kenya. This is an exceptional opportunity for a dedicated professional to play a pivotal role in diverse and impactful construction and infrastructure projects across a rapidly developing region. As a Land Surveyor specializing in site mapping, you will be instrumental in the initial phases of our projects, providing the foundational spatial data that guides all subsequent engineering and construction activities. Your expertise will ensure the accurate depiction of terrain, existing structures, property boundaries, and geological features, which is critical for project planning, design, and execution.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve a combination of fieldwork and office-based tasks. You will be expected to conduct comprehensive topographical surveys, boundary surveys, and detailed site mapping using state-of-the-art surveying equipment, including GPS, Total Stations, and potentially drone technology. The data you collect will be transformed into detailed maps, plans, and reports that inform our project managers, engineers, and architects. Precision is paramount in this role, as any inaccuracies can lead to costly delays and rework. You will verify the accuracy of survey data, perform complex calculations, and ensure all mapping adheres to relevant Kenyan land laws, regulations, and industry standards. Working in Isiolo County presents unique challenges and opportunities, given its diverse landscape and ongoing infrastructure development. This role offers the chance to contribute to projects that will directly impact the growth and connectivity of the region, from roads and bridges to commercial and residential developments. If you are passionate about detailed land analysis, skilled in geospatial technologies, and eager to contribute your expertise to a leading construction firm committed to excellence, we encourage you to apply.

  • Collaborate closely with project managers, civil engineers, architects, and construction teams to provide critical spatial information and technical support.
  • Ensure strict adherence to national and local surveying standards, land laws, and safety regulations in all fieldwork and data processing.
  • Verify the accuracy of survey data, calculations, and plans, performing quality control checks to maintain high standards.
  • Maintain and calibrate surveying equipment to ensure optimal performance and data reliability.
  • Document all field observations, measurements, and project progress accurately and systematically.
