Career.zycto is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Landscape Architect to join our growing team in Babelsberg, Potsdam. As a Landscape Architect, you will play a crucial role in all phases of project development, from conceptual design and master planning to detailed design, construction documentation, and site supervision. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and contribute to all phases of landscape architecture projects, including conceptual design, schematic design, design development, and construction documentation.
- Prepare high-quality presentations, drawings, specifications, and reports using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Vectorworks), Adobe Creative Suite, and 3D modeling tools (e.g., SketchUp, Rhino).
- Conduct site analyses, feasibility studies, and research to inform design solutions and ensure compliance with local regulations and environmental standards.
- Collaborate effectively with clients, architects, urban planners, engineers, and other consultants to integrate landscape design seamlessly within broader project goals.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring projects are delivered on schedule and within financial parameters.
- Oversee construction administration, including site visits, contractor coordination, and review of shop drawings and material submittals.
- Develop innovative and sustainable landscape solutions, incorporating principles of ecological design, water management, native plantings, and green infrastructure.
- Mentor junior staff and contribute to a positive, collaborative team environment.
Required Skills
- Master's or Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in landscape architecture.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or Vectorworks, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator), and SketchUp.
- Strong graphic communication and visualization skills (rendering, hand sketching, digital presentations).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in German and English.
- Thorough understanding of relevant German planning and building codes (e.g., BauGB, LBO, DIN standards).
- Demonstrated experience in sustainable landscape design principles and practices.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional registration/licensure as a Landscape Architect (e.g., member of Architektenkammer).
- Experience with GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS).
- Familiarity with parametric design tools (e.g., Grasshopper).
- Experience in ecological restoration or water-sensitive urban design projects.
