As a Landscape Assistant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing the beauty and functionality of various outdoor spaces. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the general maintenance of lawns, gardens, and landscaped areas, including mowing, weeding, pruning, and watering.
  • Learn and apply proper techniques for planting flowers, shrubs, trees, and other vegetation.
  • Operate and maintain various landscaping tools and equipment safely, under supervision.
  • Participate in soil preparation, fertilization, and pest control activities as instructed.
  • Support in irrigation system checks and basic repairs.
  • Ensure outdoor areas are clean, tidy, and free from debris.
  • Adhere strictly to all safety guidelines and procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding tasks and progress.
  • Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.

Required Skills

  • No prior landscaping experience required; training will be provided.
  • Strong willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and environments.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions.
  • Excellent work ethic and a proactive attitude.
  • Basic understanding of English or Swahili for communication.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong sense of responsibility.
  • Ability to follow instructions accurately and work effectively in a team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Basic knowledge of local flora and fauna is a plus but not essential.
  • Prior experience with any outdoor labor or manual work.
  • A valid Kenyan driving license (added advantage for future opportunities).
