Key Responsibilities
- Sort, wash, dry, iron, and fold all hotel linens, towels, and guest laundry according to established procedures and quality standards.
- Operate and maintain laundry equipment, including industrial washers, dryers, and ironers, ensuring their proper functioning and cleanliness.
- Monitor laundry supplies and report inventory needs to management to ensure continuous operation.
- Inspect all items for stains, damage, or wear and tear, and take appropriate action for repair or disposal.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper handling of chemicals and waste disposal.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laundry room environment at all times.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance issues promptly.
- Assist with other housekeeping duties as needed, contributing to a cohesive team effort.
- Ensure timely delivery of clean linens to relevant departments.
Required Skills
- Proven ability to follow instructions and work independently.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards of cleanliness.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, lift, push, and pull heavy laundry items (up to 50 lbs).
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Basic understanding of laundry chemicals and equipment operation.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience as a Laundry Attendant in a hotel or hospitality setting.
- Knowledge of different fabric types and appropriate washing techniques.
