As a Laundry Attendant, you will be responsible for the efficient operation of laundry facilities, ensuring all items are processed according to strict hygiene protocols and quality standards. Key Responsibilities
- Operate commercial laundry equipment including washers, dryers, and ironers safely and efficiently.
- Sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute linens, towels, uniforms, and other fabric items.
- Inspect items for stains, damage, and wear, treating or reporting as necessary.
- Maintain accurate inventory counts of linens and laundry supplies.
- Ensure adherence to all health, safety, and hygiene standards within the laundry area.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of laundry machinery and work area.
- Handle chemicals and detergents safely and store them according to regulations.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or supply shortages promptly.
- Assist with stock rotation and replenishment as needed.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operational flow.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in a commercial or industrial laundry setting.
- Familiarity with operating various types of laundry machinery.
- Strong attention to detail and an eye for cleanliness and quality.
