Key Responsibilities
- Operate commercial washing, drying, and ironing equipment efficiently and safely.
- Sort laundry items by color, fabric type, and required washing instructions.
- Inspect garments for stains, damages, or special cleaning needs prior to washing.
- Apply appropriate stain removal techniques and pre-treatments.
- Load and unload laundry into machines, ensuring correct water levels and detergent amounts.
- Monitor laundry cycles and adjust settings as necessary.
- Fold, hang, and package laundered items neatly and according to specified standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic laundry area.
- Perform routine checks and basic maintenance on laundry equipment, reporting any malfunctions.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
- Manage inventory of laundry supplies and report needs to management.
- Assist with other general duties as required to support team operations.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Laundry Attendant or similar role
- Familiarity with commercial laundry equipment and processes
- Knowledge of various fabric types and appropriate care methods
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify stains/damage
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Good physical stamina and ability to lift heavy laundry bags
- Basic understanding of health and safety standards in a laundry environment
- Strong work ethic and reliability
