Key Responsibilities
- Sort laundry items by color, fabric type, and degree of soilage according to established procedures.
- Operate commercial washing machines, dryers, and ironing equipment safely and efficiently.
- Inspect all items for stains, damage, or wear and tear, pre-treating stains as necessary.
- Fold, hang, and neatly organize clean laundry, ensuring proper storage and presentation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area and equipment, adhering to hygiene standards.
- Monitor inventory of laundry supplies (detergents, softeners) and report needs to management.
- Perform minor repairs to laundry equipment or report major malfunctions promptly.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including the proper use of protective gear.
- Handle delicate items with extra care and follow specific garment care instructions.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Laundry Attendant or in a similar role.
- Familiarity with various laundry equipment and cleaning agents.
