Are you a meticulous and hardworking individual with a keen eye for detail? Leloko Guest House is seeking a dedicated Full-Time Laundry Cleaner to join our vibrant team in Qacha’s Nek. In this essential role, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene for all our guest house linens, towels, and staff uniforms. As a Laundry Cleaner, you will operate and maintain industrial washing, drying, and ironing equipment, meticulously handling various types of fabrics. You will manage the inventory of laundry supplies, report any maintenance needs, and adhere strictly to health and safety regulations. Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain laundry equipment, including washers, dryers, and irons, according to safety guidelines and manufacturer instructions.
- Sort, wash, dry, iron, fold, and store all guest linens, towels, and staff uniforms efficiently and meticulously.
- Inspect items for stains, damage, or wear and tear, and take appropriate action (pre-treat, mend, or report for replacement).
- Monitor and maintain adequate stock levels of laundry detergents, softeners, and other cleaning supplies, reporting needs for reordering.
- Adhere strictly to hygiene, sanitation, and safety standards within the laundry area.
- Handle delicate fabrics and specialty items with care, following specific washing instructions.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment in the laundry room.
- Assist with other cleaning duties within the guest house as needed or directed by management.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance issues promptly to the supervisor.
- Ensure timely processing of laundry to meet operational demands and guest expectations.
