Key Responsibilities
- Sort and categorize all incoming laundry items, including linens, towels, uniforms, and guest laundry, according to type, color, and fabric.
- Operate and maintain commercial washing machines, dryers, and ironing equipment in accordance with safety guidelines and manufacturer instructions.
- Apply appropriate washing and drying techniques, detergents, and chemicals to effectively clean and sanitize various fabrics.
- Fold, press, and neatly organize clean laundry for efficient storage and distribution to guest rooms, food & beverage outlets, and staff departments.
- Inspect all laundered items for stains, damage, and wear, reporting any issues to the supervisor for appropriate action.
- Assist with the inventory management of laundry supplies, detergents, and chemicals, ensuring adequate stock levels.
- Handle guest laundry with utmost care and discretion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to guest requests.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laundry area, adhering to all health and safety regulations and company standards.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on laundry equipment and report any malfunctions or repair needs promptly.
- Collaborate effectively with the Housekeeping team and other hotel departments to ensure seamless operations and guest satisfaction.
