Job Description
Moteng Lodge is seeking a dedicated and efficient Laundry Worker to join our vibrant team in Linakeng, Butha-Buthe. This critical role ensures that all linen, towels, staff uniforms, and other fabric items are immaculately clean, fresh, and readily available for our guests and operations. As a Laundry Worker, you will be an integral part of our housekeeping department, contributing directly to the comfort and positive experience of our lodge’s visitors. Your day will involve operating industrial washing and drying machines, sorting laundry, folding and pressing items, and ensuring all laundry operations run smoothly and efficiently. Key Responsibilities
- Sort laundry by type, color, and fabric to ensure appropriate washing methods.
- Operate washing machines, dryers, and irons according to established procedures and safety guidelines.
- Load and unload laundry efficiently, ensuring machines are not overloaded.
- Add appropriate detergents, softeners, and other cleaning agents as required.
- Inspect items for stains, damage, and wear, reporting any issues to supervision.
- Fold, iron, and press linens, towels, and uniforms neatly and consistently.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area, including equipment and supplies.
- Monitor laundry equipment for proper functioning and report any maintenance needs.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene standards of the lodge.
- Assist with inventory management of laundry supplies and linen.
- Support other housekeeping duties as needed to ensure smooth lodge operations.
