Job Description

Career.zycto is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Entry Level Learning Disability Supervisor Lead to join our supportive team in Eastfield, Scarborough. In this pivotal entry-level role, you will work closely with experienced team leaders and support workers, gaining hands-on experience in coordinating care, implementing individual support plans, and ensuring the highest standards of person-centered care. Key Responsibilities

  • Shadow and learn from senior staff to understand effective supervision and team coordination practices.
  • Assist in the development, implementation, and review of individualised support plans for service users with learning disabilities.
  • Provide direct person-centred support, assisting with daily living activities, personal care, and community engagement.
  • Help organise team rotas and ensure appropriate staffing levels to meet service user needs.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including care plans, daily logs, and incident reports.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to discussions regarding service user progress and care strategies.
  • Support the induction of new support workers, sharing best practices under guidance.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and CQC regulations.
  • Act as a positive role model, promoting a supportive and inclusive atmosphere for service users and colleagues.
  • Engage with service users in a respectful and encouraging manner, promoting their independence and choices.

Preferred Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent).
  • Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and CQC standards.
  • Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle.
