Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of residential properties, actively marketing them to potential tenants.
- Conduct property viewings with prospective tenants, highlighting key features and benefits.
- Negotiate tenancy terms and conditions between landlords and tenants, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements.
- Process tenancy applications, conduct referencing, and prepare all necessary legal documentation (ASTs).
- Ensure compliance with all relevant lettings legislation and industry best practices.
- Build and maintain strong, lasting relationships with both landlords and tenants, providing excellent customer service.
- Generate new business leads and contribute to the growth of the lettings department.
- Handle enquiries via phone, email, and in-person, providing accurate and timely information.
- Prepare property advertisements, ensuring high-quality photographs and compelling descriptions.
Required Skills
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a Lettings Negotiator or similar property-related role.
- Proven track record in sales or customer service.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a target-driven environment.
- Full valid UK driving license and access to own vehicle (essential for property viewings).
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
Preferred Qualifications
- ARLA Propertymark qualification or equivalent industry certification.
- Experience with property management software (e.g., Alto, Reapit, Jupix).
- Knowledge of the local property market in East Riding of Yorkshire.
- Ability to speak additional languages.
