Key Responsibilities
- Assist patrons with locating books, resources, and information, both in print and digital formats.
- Manage the circulation desk, including checking books in and out, processing new memberships, and handling returns.
- Shelve and organise library materials accurately and efficiently, ensuring the collection is tidy and accessible.
- Provide basic technical support for public computers, printers, and other library equipment.
- Assist with library programs and events, including setup, registration, and general support.
- Handle inquiries and resolve minor patron issues, escalating complex matters to senior staff when necessary.
- Maintain the general orderliness and appearance of the library space.
- Process inter-library loan requests and reservations.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures as required.
- Support the promotion of library services and resources to the community.
