Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the organization, cataloging, and shelving of books, magazines, and other resource materials for both staff and guest libraries, ensuring accuracy and order.
- Maintain the cleanliness, tidiness, and aesthetic appeal of all library areas, ensuring an inviting and functional space for all users.
- Provide friendly and efficient support to guests and staff in locating resources, offering basic information, and assisting with general inquiries related to our collections.
- Accurately process new acquisitions, manage inventory records, and assist with periodic stocktakes to maintain up-to-date collection data.
- Assist in the preparation and arrangement of engaging displays and promotional materials to highlight available resources and promote reading/learning.
- Perform essential administrative tasks such as data entry, meticulous filing, and managing correspondence related to library operations.
- Under supervision, contribute to the implementation and maintenance of digital resource management systems and online catalogs.
- Adhere strictly to all resort policies and procedures, including stringent health, safety, and security guidelines.
- Actively participate in all provided training and development programs to continuously enhance professional skills and knowledge relevant to the role.
- Collaborate effectively and professionally with other resort departments to ensure seamless operational flow and guest satisfaction.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Demonstrated strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Basic computer proficiency, including familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and internet navigation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with a polite and helpful demeanor.
- Proven ability to work independently when required, as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Demonstrated enthusiasm for learning new skills and a proactive, can-do attitude.
- Physical ability to lift and move materials up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods during shifts.
