Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor production line machinery and equipment according to established procedures and safety guidelines.
- Perform routine quality checks on products to ensure they meet specified standards and rectify minor faults or escalate issues.
- Load raw materials into machines and unload finished products, ensuring efficient material flow.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering strictly to hygiene and housekeeping protocols.
- Assist with machine setup, changeovers, and basic maintenance tasks under supervision.
- Record production data, including output, downtime, and waste, accurately and promptly.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental regulations and policies.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to optimise production flow and problem-solve.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and product quality.
Required Skills
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or factory environment (minimum 12 months).
- Ability to operate and monitor production machinery.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Good understanding of health and safety procedures in a factory setting.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Basic literacy and numeracy for recording data and following instructions.
Preferred Qualifications
- NVQ Level 1 or 2 in Manufacturing Operations or a related field.
- Forklift truck licence (reach or counterbalance).
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Proficiency in basic troubleshooting of machinery.
