Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming, while maintaining dignity and respect.
- Administer medication according to care plans and record keeping policies.
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and exercises as required.
- Prepare nutritious meals and manage dietary requirements.
- Undertake light household duties, laundry, and shopping.
- Provide companionship and engage clients in stimulating activities and hobbies.
- Accompany clients to appointments and social outings.
- Monitor and report any changes in the client's health or well-being.
- Maintain accurate and detailed care records.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in a care setting (e.g., residential care, domiciliary care, or live-in care).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrated empathy, patience, and compassion.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Reliable, responsible, and highly organised.
- Basic cooking and household management skills.
- Proficiency in English (speaking, reading, and writing).
Preferred Qualifications
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent).
- First Aid certification.
- Previous experience as a Live-in Carer.
- Driving license (preferred, but not always essential depending on client needs).
