Job Description
Are you a compassionate, dedicated, and experienced caregiver seeking a unique opportunity to make a profound difference in someone’s life? Career.zycto is actively seeking a Live-In Caregiver to provide exceptional, personalized support to an individual within their private residence in New Westminster, British Columbia. This is more than just a job; it’s an invitation to become an integral part of someone’s daily life, offering companionship, assistance, and peace of mind.
As a Live-In Caregiver, you will reside with the client, ensuring continuous, round-the-clock support while also maintaining your own personal time and space. Your primary role will be to foster a safe, comfortable, and stimulating environment, promoting independence and enhancing the client’s overall quality of life. We are looking for an individual who embodies patience, empathy, and professionalism, capable of managing various caregiving responsibilities with a warm and respectful demeanor. This includes assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as personal hygiene, dressing, mobility, and medication reminders. Beyond physical care, your ability to engage clients in meaningful activities, provide emotional support, and facilitate social interaction is paramount.
This position comes with the significant benefit of private, comfortable accommodation within the client’s home, allowing you to save on living expenses and minimize commute times. You will be provided with a dedicated space that respects your privacy and allows for essential downtime. We recognize the demands of live-in care and are committed to ensuring our caregivers are well-supported, both professionally and personally. Career.zycto believes that excellent care begins with well-supported caregivers. You will have structured breaks and days off, clearly outlined in your agreement, ensuring a healthy work-life balance even within a live-in setting.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of geriatric care principles, chronic disease management, and emergency protocols. You should be adept at light housekeeping, meal preparation tailored to specific dietary needs, and managing appointments. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for liaising with family members and healthcare professionals. We are seeking someone who can adapt to changing needs, problem-solve effectively, and approach every situation with kindness and discretion. If you are passionate about providing holistic care and are ready to embark on a fulfilling live-in role where your contributions are genuinely valued, we encourage you to apply. This is an unparalleled chance to build a deep, meaningful relationship with a client and become an indispensable part of their support system.
