Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and monitor freight movements (road, sea, air) to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Plan, schedule, and track inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Liaise daily with carriers, suppliers, and customers to manage expectations and provide shipment updates.
- Negotiate rates with freight forwarders and transport companies to secure optimal pricing and service levels.
- Prepare and process all necessary shipping documentation, including customs declarations, invoices, and manifests.
- Resolve any logistical issues, such as delays, damages, or discrepancies, promptly and efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records of all logistics activities, ensuring data integrity and accessibility.
- Utilise logistics software and systems to optimise routing, tracking, and reporting.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce operational costs.
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards within all logistics operations.
