Job Description

Career.zycto is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Remote Logistics Coordinator to join our team, supporting various clients in optimising their supply chain operations. In this pivotal remote role, you will be the linchpin connecting suppliers, carriers, and customers, ensuring the seamless and timely movement of goods across domestic and international networks. Your day-to-day will involve orchestrating transportation, managing inventory, and resolving any logistical hurdles that may arise, all from the comfort and flexibility of your home office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and monitor the movement of goods, from origin to destination, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Liaise with suppliers, manufacturers, internal departments, and customers to ensure smooth logistics operations.
  • Track and trace shipments, providing regular updates to all stakeholders and proactively addressing potential delays.
  • Prepare and process all necessary shipping documentation, including customs forms, bills of lading, and invoices.
  • Negotiate rates with carriers, freight forwarders, and other logistics service providers to secure competitive pricing.
  • Manage inventory levels and storage, optimising space and ensuring product availability.
  • Identify and resolve logistics-related issues such as damaged goods, delays, and lost shipments.
  • Maintain accurate records of all logistics activities, ensuring data integrity and compliance.
  • Utilise logistics software and tools to enhance operational efficiency and reporting.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of logistics processes and supply chain strategies.

Required Skills

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or transportation coordination.
  • Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities with attention to detail.
  • Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick, informed decisions.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.
  • Understanding of domestic and international shipping regulations and procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience with a Transport Management System (TMS) or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software.
  • Certification in logistics or supply chain management (e.g., CILT, APICS).
  • Experience with e-commerce logistics or third-party logistics (3PL) providers.
  • Multilingual abilities, particularly in European languages.
