Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and monitor the movement of goods, from origin to destination, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Liaise with suppliers, manufacturers, internal departments, and customers to ensure smooth logistics operations.
- Track and trace shipments, providing regular updates to all stakeholders and proactively addressing potential delays.
- Prepare and process all necessary shipping documentation, including customs forms, bills of lading, and invoices.
- Negotiate rates with carriers, freight forwarders, and other logistics service providers to secure competitive pricing.
- Manage inventory levels and storage, optimising space and ensuring product availability.
- Identify and resolve logistics-related issues such as damaged goods, delays, and lost shipments.
- Maintain accurate records of all logistics activities, ensuring data integrity and compliance.
- Utilise logistics software and tools to enhance operational efficiency and reporting.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of logistics processes and supply chain strategies.
Required Skills
- Minimum 2 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or transportation coordination.
- Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong organisational and time management abilities with attention to detail.
- Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick, informed decisions.
