Job Description
Career.zycto is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Logistics Coordinator with a specialization in Warehouse & Delivery operations to join our growing team in Balaclava, St. Elizabeth. This professional role is critical to ensuring the efficient flow of goods from our warehouse to our valued customers, upholding the highest standards of accuracy, timeliness, and cost-effectiveness. The successful candidate will be a linchpin in our supply chain, managing the entire lifecycle of goods within our facilities and orchestrating their onward distribution.
You will be responsible for overseeing daily warehouse activities, including inventory control, storage optimization, and order fulfillment processes. A significant part of your role will involve coordinating transportation logistics, scheduling deliveries, and liaising with drivers and external freight partners to guarantee on-time arrivals. This position requires a proactive individual who can troubleshoot logistical challenges, implement process improvements, and maintain comprehensive records of all inbound and outbound shipments. You will leverage your expertise to analyze operational data, identify areas for efficiency gains, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our supply chain strategies.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch.
- Coordinate and schedule all inbound and outbound deliveries, optimizing routes and maximizing vehicle utilization.
- Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records, conducting regular stock counts and reconciling discrepancies.
- Liaise with internal departments (e.g., Sales, Procurement) and external partners (e.g., suppliers, transport companies) to ensure smooth operations.
- Prepare and process all necessary documentation for shipments, including waybills, invoices, and customs forms where applicable.
- Track and trace shipments, providing updates to stakeholders and resolving any delivery issues or delays promptly.
- Implement and enforce warehouse safety protocols and best practices to ensure a safe working environment.
- Analyze logistics data to identify trends, optimize processes, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Participate in negotiating rates with carriers and freight forwarders to achieve cost efficiencies.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of supply chain processes and systems.
- Train and mentor junior warehouse staff as required.
Required Skills
- Minimum 3 years of experience in logistics, warehouse management, or supply chain coordination.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations, safety standards, and best practices.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to troubleshooting.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
