Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage daily warehouse operations, including receiving, inspecting, storing, and dispatching goods efficiently.
- Plan, coordinate, and schedule optimal delivery routes and transportation for both incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring timely arrival.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels meticulously, conducting regular stock checks and reconciliations to maintain data accuracy and prevent discrepancies.
- Liaise effectively with suppliers, carriers, customs brokers, and internal teams to resolve logistics issues, track shipments, and optimize supply chain processes.
- Prepare, verify, and process all necessary shipping documentation, invoices, customs paperwork, and related administrative tasks accurately and promptly.
- Implement and maintain robust safety and security protocols within the warehouse facility and during all stages of transit to protect personnel and assets.
- Utilize advanced logistics software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems to track shipments, analyze performance metrics, and generate comprehensive reports.
- Identify and recommend opportunities for continuous process improvement and cost reduction in warehousing, transportation, and delivery functions.
- Ensure compliance with all local and international shipping regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
Required Skills
- Proven professional experience (minimum 3 years) in logistics, warehouse management, and supply chain coordination.
- Strong understanding of inventory management principles, warehouse best practices, and operational efficiency techniques.
- Proficiency in logistics software (e.g., WMS, TMS) and advanced capabilities in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Exceptional organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder collaboration.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot logistics challenges, make informed decisions under pressure, and manage multiple priorities.
- Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
- Valid Jamaican driver's license with a clean driving record.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
- Certification in Logistics and Supply Chain Management (e.g., CPL, CSCP, CLTD).
- Experience with international shipping regulations, customs procedures, and import/export documentation.
- Familiarity with lean principles or Six Sigma methodologies in a logistics context.
