Career.zycto is searching for a highly skilled and proactive Logistics Coordinator – Warehouse & Delivery to join our vibrant team in New Castle, Kingston. This professional role is pivotal in ensuring the seamless flow of goods from our warehouse facilities through to final delivery, playing a critical part in our commitment to operational excellence and customer satisfaction. As a Logistics Coordinator, you will be the linchpin connecting various stages of our supply chain, ensuring that every shipment is handled with precision, efficiency, and adherence to established timelines. Your expertise will be crucial in optimizing our warehousing practices, coordinating transportation schedules, and managing inventory to prevent discrepancies and enhance overall productivity.
You will be instrumental in the day-to-day coordination of dispatch activities, including scheduling and tracking deliveries, liaising with drivers, and resolving any logistical challenges that may arise. Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and monitor all warehouse and delivery operations, ensuring timely and efficient movement of goods.
- Manage inventory control, including receiving, storage, dispatch, and returns, to maintain accuracy and optimize space.
- Plan and schedule daily delivery routes, considering factors such as urgency, cost-efficiency, and driver availability.
- Liaise effectively with suppliers, transporters, and internal departments to resolve any logistical issues or delays.
- Oversee the loading and unloading processes, ensuring proper handling of goods and compliance with safety standards.
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, deliveries, and inventory movements using relevant software and systems.
- Generate comprehensive logistics reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as delivery times, costs, and inventory levels.
- Implement and enforce company policies and procedures related to warehousing, transportation, and occupational health and safety.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains within the logistics framework.
- Address and resolve customer or client queries and complaints related to deliveries and shipments in a professional manner.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (minimum 3 years) as a Logistics Coordinator, Warehouse Supervisor, or similar role.
- Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control principles.
- Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities for interacting with diverse stakeholders.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick, informed decisions under pressure.
- Knowledge of local transportation laws and regulations in Jamaica.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Certification in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Warehouse Management.
