Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily warehouse operations (receiving, storage, picking, packing, dispatch).
  • Coordinate and schedule incoming and outgoing deliveries for timely and accurate shipments.
  • Manage inventory levels, conduct stock checks, and reconcile discrepancies using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
  • Liaise with suppliers, carriers, and internal teams to resolve logistics-related issues promptly.
  • Optimize delivery routes and transportation methods to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Prepare and process all necessary shipping documentation, including waybills, invoices, and customs forms.
  • Monitor and track shipments, providing updates to stakeholders and proactively resolving delays.
  • Ensure strict compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and transportation laws.
  • Analyze logistics data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate records of all logistics activities and generate performance reports (KPIs).
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives and the implementation of best practices.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior logistics staff, fostering continuous learning.

Required Skills

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in logistics, warehouse, or supply chain management.
  • Proficiency in inventory management systems (WMS).
  • Strong understanding of transportation regulations and best practices.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience with ERP systems integration.
  • Certification in Logistics or Supply Chain Management (e.g., CSCP, CPIM).
  • Familiarity with Jamaican customs procedures and import/export regulations.
  • Prior leadership or supervisory experience.
