Job Description

Career.zycto is actively seeking a highly motivated and experienced Logistics Coordinator to join our dedicated operational team situated in the vibrant Bloody Bay, Negril. This professional role is absolutely pivotal in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of goods from our central warehouse to various delivery points across Jamaica, ultimately optimizing our entire supply chain operations and upholding the highest standards of service our clients expect. You will be instrumental in orchestrating daily logistics activities, meticulously managing inventory levels, overseeing precise dispatch schedules, and diligently ensuring full compliance with all relevant local and international shipping regulations.

This position demands a keen eye for detail, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and a proactive, hands-on approach to managing complex logistical challenges in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will play a critical role in enhancing our delivery capabilities, driving continuous improvements in operational efficiencies, and contributing significantly to overall client satisfaction and business growth. You will be expected to collaborate closely with internal warehouse staff, our dedicated delivery teams, and external partners, acting as the central point of contact for all logistics-related inquiries and coordination efforts. Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and coordinate daily logistics operations, including warehousing, inventory management, and transportation.
  • Plan and optimize delivery routes and schedules to ensure timely and cost-effective distribution.
  • Manage and track inventory levels, conducting regular stock checks and reconciling discrepancies.
  • Liaise with suppliers, carriers, and internal departments to resolve logistics-related issues promptly.
  • Prepare and process shipping documentation, invoices, and other administrative records.
  • Ensure compliance with all local and international shipping regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for logistics and delivery efficiency.
  • Implement and improve logistical processes to enhance operational effectiveness and reduce costs.
  • Supervise and provide guidance to warehouse and delivery personnel as needed.
  • Utilize logistics software and systems for tracking, planning, and reporting.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience (3+ years) in logistics, supply chain, or warehouse management.
  • Strong understanding of inventory control and warehousing procedures.
  • Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Valid driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Certification in Logistics or Supply Chain Management (e.g., CSCP, CPIM).
  • Experience with ERP systems or specialized WMS (Warehouse Management System).
  • Knowledge of Jamaican customs regulations and import/export procedures.
