Job Description
We are on the hunt for a highly motivated and experienced Logistics Coordinator to join our dedicated team in Jack’s Hill, St. Andrew. As a Logistics Coordinator, you will be the linchpin between our inventory, warehouse operations, and outbound delivery processes. Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and monitor the movement of goods through the warehouse and to delivery points, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
- Manage inventory control, including receiving, storage, dispatch, and cycle counting, using appropriate warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Plan and optimize delivery routes, schedules, and vehicle utilization to minimize costs and maximize service levels.
- Liaise with suppliers, carriers, and internal departments to resolve logistics-related issues and ensure timely delivery.
- Prepare and process all necessary logistics documentation, including shipping manifests, invoices, and customs forms.
- Oversee the loading and unloading of goods, ensuring proper handling and adherence to safety protocols.
- Track and report on key logistics metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with all local and international logistics regulations and company policies.
- Train and supervise warehouse staff on best practices for logistics, safety, and inventory management.
- Implement and maintain robust quality control procedures throughout the logistics process.
Required Skills
- Minimum 3 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or warehouse management.
- Proven experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and transportation management software.
- Strong understanding of inventory control best practices and demand forecasting.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective team collaboration and external liaison.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
