Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and monitor supply chain operations, including warehouse activities, transportation, and delivery schedules.
- Manage inventory levels, conduct regular audits, and implement accurate stock control procedures to minimize discrepancies.
- Liaise with suppliers, manufacturers, retailers, and consumers to ensure smooth and timely deliveries.
- Prepare accurate shipping documents, such as bills of lading, packing lists, and commercial invoices.
- Utilize logistics software (WMS, TMS) to track goods from origin to destination and update stakeholders on status.
- Negotiate and coordinate with freight forwarders, carriers, and customs brokers.
- Identify and resolve any issues that may arise, such as delays, damages, or missed deliveries.
- Maintain precise records of all transactions, shipments, and inventory.
- Analyze logistical data to identify areas for improvement and implement cost-effective solutions.
- Ensure compliance with all local, national, and international shipping regulations and safety standards.
- Supervise warehouse staff and external drivers, providing guidance and support as needed.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Logistics Coordinator or in a similar role (minimum 3 years).
- Solid understanding of supply chain management principles and warehouse operations.
- Proficiency in logistics software (e.g., WMS, TMS) and MS Office Suite (especially Excel).
- Strong organizational and time management skills with an ability to multitask.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and a proactive approach.
