Career.zycto is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Logistics Coordinator to join our vibrant team in St. Ann’s Bay, St. Ann. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage daily warehouse operations, including receiving, inspection, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch of goods.
- Plan and optimize daily delivery routes for maximum efficiency, considering factors such as time, cost, and customer service.
- Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular stock audits, and reconcile discrepancies to maintain accurate inventory records.
- Coordinate with suppliers, carriers, and internal teams to ensure timely procurement and distribution of materials.
- Utilize logistics software and systems (e.g., WMS, TMS) to track shipments, manage orders, and generate reports.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards within warehouse and delivery operations.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service quality.
- Manage and resolve logistical issues, such as delivery delays, damages, or discrepancies, in a timely and effective manner.
- Prepare and analyze logistics performance reports, providing insights and recommendations to management.
- Train and mentor junior staff on best practices in warehouse management and delivery coordination.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 4 years of proven experience in logistics, supply chain, or warehouse management roles.
- Proficiency in logistics software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory control, and transportation management principles.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to issue resolution.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of interacting effectively with all levels of staff and external partners.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, for data analysis and reporting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Certification in Supply Chain Management (e.g., CSCP, CPIM, CLTD) or Logistics (e.g., CPL).
- Experience with Lean Six Sigma methodologies in a logistics or warehouse environment.
- Knowledge of local Jamaican customs regulations and import/export procedures.
