Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Logistics Coordinator with a strong background in warehouse and delivery operations to join our client’s team in Old Harbour, St. Catherine. This professional role demands a proactive individual who can expertly manage the flow of goods, from inbound materials to outbound deliveries, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and cost-effectiveness. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in coordinating daily logistics activities, optimizing supply chain processes, and maintaining high standards of inventory control and distribution. Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and monitor all supply chain operations, including receiving, warehousing, and dispatching activities, ensuring optimal efficiency.
  • Manage and maintain accurate inventory records, conducting regular stock counts and reconciliations to ensure data integrity.
  • Plan and track the shipment of final products according to customer requirements, ensuring adherence to schedules, budget, and quality standards.
  • Prepare comprehensive shipping documentation, including invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and customs forms as required.
  • Oversee the scheduling and routing of delivery vehicles, optimizing routes for fuel efficiency and timely distribution of goods.
  • Communicate effectively and proactively with suppliers, transporters, internal departments, and customers regarding logistics issues and delivery status updates.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency, reduce logistical costs, and improve service levels.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for logistics operations, analyzing data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Ensure strict compliance with all relevant industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies, particularly in warehousing and transportation.
  • Resolve any arising problems or complaints from customers, suppliers, or transporters promptly and professionally, minimizing disruption to operations.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience (minimum 4 years) as a Logistics Coordinator or in a similar leadership role within warehouse and delivery management.
  • Solid understanding of end-to-end supply chain management principles and robust warehouse operations.
  • Proficiency in logistics software and inventory management systems (e.g., WMS, ERP, TMS).
  • Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal, for effective stakeholder engagement.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy, ensuring error-free documentation and inventory management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook), with advanced Excel skills for data analysis.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
  • Certification in Logistics and Supply Chain Management (e.g., CSCP, CTL) is highly desirable.
  • Experience with international shipping regulations, customs procedures, and import/export documentation.
  • Familiarity with local Old Harbour/St. Catherine transportation networks and regulations.
  • Ability to speak multiple languages, particularly if dealing with diverse supplier or customer bases.
