We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Logistics Coordinator with a strong focus on warehouse and delivery operations to join a dynamic team in Calabash Bay, Treasure Beach. As a Professional Logistics Coordinator, you will be the linchpin in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of goods from our warehouse to our valued customers. This pivotal role requires a meticulous individual with a keen eye for detail, exceptional organizational skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. You will play a critical role in managing inventory, coordinating transportation, optimizing delivery routes, and maintaining robust communication channels with suppliers, carriers, and internal teams.
Your day-to-day will involve overseeing inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring accurate record-keeping, and implementing best practices to enhance operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and monitor all aspects of domestic logistics, including warehousing, transportation, and delivery activities.
- Manage inventory control systems, conduct regular stock audits, and ensure accurate record-keeping of all goods.
- Plan and optimize delivery routes to maximize efficiency, minimize costs, and meet delivery schedules.
- Liaise with suppliers, carriers, and internal departments to ensure timely and accurate movement of products.
- Oversee the loading and unloading of shipments, ensuring proper handling and documentation.
- Prepare and process all necessary shipping documentation, including invoices, packing lists, and customs forms.
- Resolve any logistical issues, such as delays, damages, or discrepancies, in a timely and effective manner.
- Implement and maintain safety standards and best practices within the warehouse and during delivery operations.
- Analyze logistical data to identify areas for improvement and implement cost-saving strategies.
- Provide regular reports on logistics performance, inventory levels, and delivery metrics.
- Ensure compliance with local and national transportation and warehousing regulations.
Required Skills
- Minimum 4 years of proven experience in logistics coordination, with a strong focus on warehouse and delivery operations.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and supply chain management systems.
- Demonstrable knowledge of warehousing procedures, transportation regulations, and freight management.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask effectively.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to operational challenges.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively engaging with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
