Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and monitor all inbound and outbound logistics operations, including warehousing, transportation, and delivery schedules.
- Manage inventory control, conduct regular stock audits, and reconcile discrepancies to maintain accurate stock levels.
- Liaise with suppliers, carriers, and internal departments to ensure timely and cost-effective movement of goods.
- Optimize delivery routes and methods to reduce transit times and operational costs, utilizing data-driven insights.
- Prepare and process shipping documentation, customs declarations, and other necessary paperwork in compliance with local and international regulations.
- Track and trace shipments, providing regular updates to stakeholders and proactively resolving any delays or issues.
- Implement and maintain robust warehouse management systems and practices for optimal storage, retrieval, and order fulfillment.
- Negotiate freight rates and service agreements with logistics providers to secure competitive terms and foster strong vendor relationships.
- Analyze logistics data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement strategic solutions.
- Ensure strict compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations within all warehouse and delivery operations.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (minimum 3 years) as a Logistics Coordinator or similar role, specifically within warehouse and delivery operations.
- Demonstrable knowledge of supply chain management principles, best practices, and industry standards.
- Proficiency in using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal, for effective stakeholder engagement.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel for data analysis, Word, Outlook).
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented and fast-paced environment, demonstrating adaptability and resilience.
Preferred Qualifications
