Career.zycto is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Logistics Coordinator to join our vibrant team in St. Ann’s Bay, St. Ann. This professional role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our warehouse and delivery processes, ultimately contributing to our commitment to exceptional customer service and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with a strong understanding of supply chain dynamics, inventory management, and transportation logistics.

As our Logistics Coordinator, you will be the linchpin connecting various stages of our supply chain. Your day-to-day will involve orchestrating the movement of goods from initial receipt into our warehouse, through meticulous inventory control, to their final, timely delivery. You will be instrumental in optimizing our delivery routes, managing relationships with external carriers, and ensuring all documentation is accurate and compliant with local and international regulations where applicable. Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and monitor inbound and outbound logistics operations, ensuring efficiency and adherence to schedules.
  • Manage warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, inventory control, picking, packing, and dispatch.
  • Optimize delivery routes and schedules to ensure timely and cost-effective transportation of goods.
  • Liaise with suppliers, manufacturers, transportation companies, and customers to resolve logistical issues and enhance service levels.
  • Prepare and process shipping documentation, including invoices, manifests, and customs declarations.
  • Implement and enforce health and safety standards within the warehouse and during delivery operations.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) for logistics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.
  • Utilize logistics software (WMS/TMS) to track shipments, manage inventory, and generate reports.
  • Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies to maintain accurate stock levels.
  • Address and resolve any logistical challenges, such as delayed shipments, damaged goods, or delivery discrepancies, promptly and effectively.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience (2+ years) as a Logistics Coordinator or in a similar supply chain role.
  • Solid understanding of warehouse management procedures and logistics best practices.
  • Proficiency in logistics software (e.g., WMS, TMS) and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with internal teams, suppliers, and customers.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification in Logistics or Supply Chain Management (e.g., CPL, CSCP).
  • Familiarity with local transportation networks and regulations in Jamaica and St. Ann's Bay.
  • Experience with import/export procedures and customs documentation.
  • Knowledge of lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies in logistics.
