Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate all aspects of warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, inventory management, and dispatch.
- Develop and implement efficient delivery schedules, optimizing routes and transportation methods to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries.
- Monitor and track shipments, providing real-time updates and resolving any transit-related issues promptly.
- Negotiate with carriers, suppliers, and external partners to secure favorable terms and maintain strong working relationships.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory, shipments, and delivery activities using our logistics management systems.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
- Prepare and analyze logistics reports, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
- Collaborate closely with sales, procurement, and customer service teams to ensure seamless order fulfillment and customer satisfaction.
- Lead and motivate warehouse and delivery staff, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
- Proactively identify and mitigate potential risks within the supply chain.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in logistics, supply chain management, or warehouse operations.
- Demonstrated proficiency in logistics software, inventory management systems (e.g., WMS), and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong understanding of warehousing best practices, transportation regulations, and international shipping procedures.
- Exceptional organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, target-driven environment.
- Valid Jamaican Driver's License.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Certification in Logistics and Supply Chain Management (e.g., CSCP, CLTD).
- Experience with cold chain logistics or handling perishable goods.
- Familiarity with local Jamaican customs and import/export procedures.
