Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and schedule dispatch activities for drivers and vehicles, ensuring optimal route planning.
- Monitor delivery routes and driver progress in real-time, providing immediate support and adjustments as needed.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with drivers, clients, and internal teams regarding delivery statuses, potential delays, and unforeseen issues.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all dispatch activities, delivery logs, and driver reports.
- Assist in optimizing delivery routes for efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and timely service delivery.
- Handle incoming calls and inquiries related to logistics and dispatch operations, providing helpful information.
- Address and resolve dispatch-related problems or complaints promptly, courteously, and professionally.
- Ensure strict compliance with all relevant transportation regulations and company policies.
- Prepare and accurately process necessary documentation for shipments and deliveries.
- Assist with inventory tracking and management as it pertains to efficient dispatch operations.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in a dispatch or logistics coordination role (minimum 6 months).
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional time management abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in using dispatch software, GPS systems, and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
- Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
