Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently load and unload luggage, cargo, and mail onto and from transport vehicles.
- Operate specialized equipment such as conveyor belts, tugs, and forklifts as required, adhering to all safety guidelines.
- Sort and tag luggage according to destination, ensuring accurate and timely transfers.
- Lift, carry, and move heavy items, maintaining proper lifting techniques to prevent injury.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety procedures and regulations, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Inspect luggage and cargo for damage and report any irregularities or issues promptly.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, contributing to overall operational efficiency.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow.
- Assist with other ground support duties as needed to support overall operations.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and carry heavy luggage (up to 50 lbs) repeatedly.
- Strong physical stamina and endurance.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle demanding physical tasks.
