Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor production machinery according to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Perform routine quality checks on products to ensure adherence to specifications and standards.
- Load and unload materials and products from machines efficiently and safely.
- Conduct basic troubleshooting and minor maintenance on machinery to ensure continuous operation.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, adhering strictly to 5S principles.
- Accurately record production data, including output, downtime, and material usage.
- Adhere strictly to all company health, safety, and environmental regulations and guidelines.
- Collaborate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments to optimize production flow and efficiency.
- Promptly report any machine malfunctions, safety concerns, or quality issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives and relevant training programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (minimum 18 months) as a Machine Operator in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, schematics, and work instructions.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and effective problem-solving skills for machine adjustments and minor repairs.
- Excellent attention to detail and a steadfast commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work both independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Good physical stamina, manual dexterity, and the ability to lift up to 25kg when required.
- Basic understanding of health and safety regulations and procedures in a factory setting.
- Proficiency in basic English communication (written and verbal) for understanding instructions and reporting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Vocational training or relevant certification in machine operation, engineering, or a related technical field.
- Experience with specific machinery (e.g., CNC, automated assembly lines, packaging equipment).
- Forklift operator certification (e.g., counterbalance, reach truck) is a plus.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or 5S methodologies.
- Prior experience working in diverse, multicultural, or international teams.
