Key Responsibilities

  • Execute comprehensive preventive and predictive maintenance schedules for all machinery and facility equipment.
  • Conduct thorough diagnostic tests and troubleshooting to identify root causes of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic malfunctions.
  • Perform timely and effective corrective maintenance and repairs, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of all maintenance activities, including parts used, time spent, and issues resolved.
  • Adhere strictly to all company safety regulations, lockout/tagout procedures, and environmental policies.
  • Collaborate effectively with production teams, process engineers, and other departments to optimize equipment performance and resolve issues.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in maintenance processes and equipment reliability.
  • Assist in the installation, commissioning, and optimization of new equipment and systems.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior technicians and operational staff.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer or similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Strong technical proficiency in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Proficiency with various diagnostic tools and equipment (e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes, thermal imagers).
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a methodical approach to troubleshooting.
  • Strong communication skills in both German and English.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety standards and best practices.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Relevant professional certifications (e.g., Certified Maintenance Professional (CMP), Siemens S7 PLC programming).
  • Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience with automated production lines and robotics.
