Key Responsibilities
- Perform general cleaning, minor repairs, and aesthetic touch-ups (e.g., patching, painting) to prepare vacant apartments for new residents, ensuring they meet move-in standards.
- Assist skilled maintenance technicians with more complex tasks, observing and learning about various systems including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry.
- Conduct thorough pre-move-in inspections, meticulously identifying and reporting any maintenance issues or deficiencies that require attention.
- Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and safety of all work areas, maintenance shops, and equipment storage rooms.
- Verify all appliances (refrigerators, stoves, dishwashers, etc.) are in excellent working order and assist with their installation or removal as needed.
- Assist with exterior groundskeeping tasks, including litter removal, pressure washing common areas, and light landscaping duties as directed.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety guidelines and procedures, consistently utilizing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Communicate effectively and professionally with team members, supervisors, and vendors regarding job progress, material needs, and potential issues.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall maintenance and operational efficiency of the properties.
Required Skills
- Basic understanding of general maintenance concepts or a strong aptitude to learn quickly.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, kneeling, standing, and walking for extended periods.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and consistent punctuality.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
- Ability to follow instructions diligently and work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Basic communication skills to interact clearly with colleagues and supervisors.
Preferred Qualifications

- Familiarity with common hand and power tools (e.g., drills, wrenches, paint rollers).
- Valid Florida Driver's License and reliable transportation to navigate between properties if necessary.
