Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance on industrial machinery and equipment according to schedules.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic faults efficiently.
- Execute timely and effective repairs to minimize downtime and ensure operational continuity.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and environmental regulations and company policies.
- Utilize CMMS to accurately log maintenance activities, parts used, and diagnostic findings.
- Calibrate and adjust equipment parameters to optimize performance, efficiency, and product quality.
- Participate actively in continuous improvement initiatives and root cause analysis of failures.
- Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and engineering drawings for fault resolution.
- Communicate effectively with production teams and other departments regarding equipment status.
- Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns as required by the shift pattern to restore operations.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (minimum 3 years) as a Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and advanced fault-finding abilities.
- Proficiency in electrical troubleshooting (up to 415V three-phase systems) and control circuits.
- Extensive experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and blueprints accurately.
- Basic understanding of PLCs for fault diagnosis (e.g., reading fault codes, input/output checks).
- Unwavering commitment to health and safety regulations and safe working practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and meticulous attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively and reliably in a structured shift pattern environment.

Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant engineering qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3, HNC/HND) in Mechanical, Electrical, or Maintenance Engineering.
- 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations certification.
- Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) for planning and reporting.
- Forklift license or other relevant mobile plant certification.
- Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Basic welding or fabrication skills for minor repairs.
