Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, execute, and maintain detailed test plans and test cases based on project requirements.
  • Perform various types of manual testing, including functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Identify, document, and track software defects and inconsistencies using bug tracking systems with clear steps to reproduce and expected results.
  • Collaborate closely with development teams, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand product requirements and ensure testability.
  • Participate actively in all phases of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) within an Agile/Scrum framework.
  • Provide clear, concise, and timely defect reports and status updates to project teams and management.
  • Verify bug fixes and ensure issues are resolved completely and effectively without introducing new problems.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes, methodologies, and testing best practices.
  • Assist in defining test scope, objectives, and deliverables in alignment with overall project goals.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience (3+ years) as a Manual Tester or Quality Assurance Engineer.
  • Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Extensive experience with various testing types: functional, regression, integration, and UAT.
  • Proficiency in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
  • Familiarity with bug tracking tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar.
  • Excellent analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and a methodical, systematic approach to testing.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative, cross-functional team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to convey complex information clearly.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Experience working within Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
  • Familiarity with SQL for database testing and data validation.
  • Experience in testing web applications, mobile applications, or both.
  • ISTQB Foundation Level certification or equivalent.
  • Basic understanding of automated testing concepts and tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress).
