Key Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed visual and dimensional inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products according to specifications and drawings.
  • Utilize a variety of precision measuring instruments, including calipers, micrometers, gauges, and optical comparators.
  • Document inspection results accurately and thoroughly, including identification of defects, non-conformances, and rework requirements.
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to identify root causes of quality issues and implement effective corrective actions.
  • Ensure strict adherence to quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001), regulatory requirements, and internal procedures.
  • Conduct first article inspections (FAI) and final product audits to verify compliance before shipment.
  • Calibrate and maintain inspection equipment, ensuring accuracy and reliability of measurements.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of quality control processes and procedures.
  • Provide training and guidance to production staff on quality guidelines and inspection best practices.
  • Participate in internal and external quality audits as required.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in quality control within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in using a wide range of precision measuring instruments.
  • Ability to read and accurately interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Strong understanding of quality control methodologies and statistical process control (SPC) principles.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong observational skills.
