Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the loading and unloading of cargo, following strict safety guidelines and operational procedures.
- Support the proper mooring and unmooring of vessels, ensuring secure docking operations.
- Inspect and maintain dock equipment, reporting any malfunctions or safety hazards promptly.
- Assist with inventory management and tracking of materials and equipment on the dock.
- Maintain accurate records of daily operations, vessel movements, and cargo manifests.
- Communicate effectively with vessel crews, port authorities, and internal teams to ensure smooth coordination.
- Participate in safety briefings and adhere to all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Perform general clean-up and maintenance tasks to ensure a tidy and safe dock area.
- Learn and apply operational procedures for various types of vessels and cargo.
- Provide support for emergency response situations as required.
