Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the mooring and unmooring of vessels, securing lines and gangways.
  • Support cargo loading and unloading operations, including proper stowage and handling.
  • Conduct routine inspections of dock infrastructure, equipment, and safety gear.
  • Report any maintenance needs, safety hazards, or operational discrepancies to supervisors.
  • Participate in general dock housekeeping and maintenance tasks to ensure a clean and organized work area.
  • Assist with the inventory and tracking of operational supplies and equipment.
  • Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and environmental regulations rigorously.
  • Operate basic dock equipment under supervision, such as forklifts or cranes, if certified.
  • Communicate effectively with vessel crew, truck drivers, and other port personnel.
  • Maintain accurate logs and records of daily activities and incidents as required.
