Key Responsibilities
- Design, analyze, and oversee the installation of marine propulsion systems, power generation, and auxiliary machinery.
- Perform detailed calculations for system performance, efficiency, and material specifications.
- Conduct inspections, maintenance, and repair of marine mechanical and electrical equipment.
- Develop and review engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Ensure all designs and operations comply with international maritime regulations (e.g., SOLAS, MARPOL) and classification society rules.
- Participate in sea trials and equipment commissioning to verify system performance.
- Troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues on marine vessels and structures.
- Collaborate with naval architects, project managers, and external stakeholders on project execution.
- Contribute to risk assessments and implement safety protocols for marine operations.
- Stay updated with new technologies and industry best practices in marine engineering.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in marine engineering or a closely related maritime industry.
