Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspection, maintenance, and repair of marine equipment, machinery, and systems including propulsion, navigation, communication, and auxiliary systems.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex technical issues on vessels and offshore structures, providing timely and effective solutions to minimize downtime.
- Assist in the installation, testing, and commissioning of new marine technology and upgrades, ensuring integration with existing systems.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, repairs, parts used, and system performance data.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, environmental regulations, and company policies, fostering a culture of safety.
- Provide technical support and guidance to vessel crews and operational staff, both remotely and on-site as required.
- Collaborate with supply chain and procurement teams to manage spare parts inventory and ensure availability of critical components.
- Participate in emergency response drills and actual incidents, offering technical assistance and problem-solving expertise.
Required Skills
- Advanced Diploma or equivalent in Marine Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in marine operations support, maintenance, or engineering roles.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing marine electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
- Strong understanding of maritime safety regulations (e.g., SOLAS, MARPOL) and industry best practices.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and engineering drawings.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for technical reporting and team collaboration.
Preferred Qualifications
