Job Description
Are you a meticulous and proactive individual with a passion for organization and a keen eye for detail? Hotel Riu Jambo is seeking a dedicated Marine Warehouse Handler to join our dynamic team in Nungwi, Zanzibar North. In this crucial full-time role, you will be instrumental in the smooth operation of our marine activities by managing the inventory, storage, and distribution of essential marine equipment, supplies, and parts. You will be responsible for ensuring the efficient flow of goods, from receiving and inspecting deliveries to organizing the warehouse space, preparing items for dispatch, and maintaining accurate records. This position demands a strong commitment to safety, efficiency, and teamwork, playing a vital part in supporting our watersports center, boat excursions, and general resort maintenance. The Marine Warehouse Handler ensures that all marine-related items, from snorkeling gear and diving equipment to boat engines and spare parts, are properly accounted for, stored safely, and readily available when needed. Key Responsibilities
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming marine-related supplies, equipment, and parts, ensuring accuracy against purchase orders.
- Safely and efficiently store items in designated warehouse locations, maintaining optimal organization and accessibility.
- Manage inventory by performing regular stock counts, updating records, and reporting discrepancies to the supervisor.
- Pick, pack, and prepare marine equipment and supplies for dispatch to various departments, ensuring timely delivery.
- Operate warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, hand trucks) in a safe manner, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment, including regular cleaning and waste disposal.
- Assist with the loading and unloading of marine vessels or transport vehicles as required.
- Conduct basic quality checks on outgoing equipment and report any damages or defects.
