As a Masonry Assistant, you will work closely with experienced masons, learning the intricate details of bricklaying, blocklaying, and stonework. Key Responsibilities
- Assist experienced masons in all aspects of masonry work, including bricklaying, blocklaying, and stonework.
- Prepare work sites by cleaning, organizing, and ensuring proper setup of tools and materials.
- Transport and mix mortar, cement, and other construction materials according to specifications.
- Cut and lay bricks, blocks, and stones under direct supervision, learning proper techniques and measurements.
- Clean and maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working order and stored safely.
- Erect and dismantle scaffolding and temporary structures as required, following safety protocols.
- Load and unload materials from delivery vehicles.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout the day.
- Learn to interpret basic blueprints and construction plans as guided by supervisors.
- Perform other general labor duties as assigned to support the construction team.
