Key Responsibilities
- Assist skilled masons with a variety of tasks on active construction sites, including bricklaying, blocklaying, and stonework.
- Prepare work areas meticulously by cleaning debris, organizing tools and materials, and ensuring all safety protocols are strictly followed.
- Mix mortar, grout, concrete, and other construction materials precisely according to specified ratios and consistency requirements.
- Transport bricks, blocks, stones, sand, cement, and other masonry materials safely and efficiently to and from designated work areas.
- Help in the careful setting up and dismantling of scaffolding, temporary structures, and work platforms.
- Clean, maintain, and properly store all tools, equipment, and machinery used in masonry work to ensure longevity and operational readiness.
- Follow all instructions and directives from supervisors and experienced team members diligently and without hesitation.
- Adhere strictly to all company health and safety policies, procedures, and regulations at all times.
- Perform general labor duties as required to support the overall progress and success of construction projects.
- Actively learn and apply basic masonry techniques, best practices, and industry standards under direct supervision.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform demanding physical labor, including consistently lifting heavy materials (up to 50 lbs) throughout the workday.
- Possession of a strong, consistent work ethic and proven reliability.
- Demonstrated willingness to learn new skills, adapt to different tasks, and readily take direction.
